Taking it on the road

One of the things I really enjoy about being part of the tutor team, is going a road trip and taking the workshop with me. I get to meet a lot of new creative souls and share my knowledge and passion for making jewellery.

This weekend I was lucky enough to make a trip back to Blenhiem where the weather and hospitality where warm and welcoming. We set up at the wonder location Elevate, where we had a ring making day on Saturday and Stacking rings on Sunday. The students turned out some beautiful work and learned some new skills.

Our team also visits other locations outside of Christchurch and Wellington, such as Napier, Tauranga, Apiti, Palmerston North and Dunedin. It's a really lovely way to see the beautiful scenery we have in this country and do what I love.

Although tired and pleased to be home, seeing the creativity and energy the students brought over the weekend I am feeling creatively recharged and keen to get back the workshop tomorrow and see what I can produce.
