Service Description

This great one-day class runs from 10am - 4pm with a lunch break. It is ideal for beginners, but experienced students are also welcome! Students will practice making simple textured or polished bracelets in either copper or brass using heavy-gauge wire, then move on to making a silver bracelet from start to finish. They will learn measuring, texturing, soldering, and finishing techniques to make beautiful, lasting, wearable bracelets! Students can choose from creating textured, stamped, or polished bracelets. After practicing on the brass or copper bracelet, we will get straight into crafting our silver bracelets to ensure that we have plenty of time to give them the care and finish that they deserve. If there is time once the silver bracelet is under way, then additional bracelets can be made to create a multi-bracelet stack. More experienced students may wish to make a wider bracelet using flat or half-round strip. There will be an extra cost for wider metal. We have set the type of metals used in this class to ensure a great student experience - there will be the option for some choice of materials but may be some extra cost for different types of silver bar. This is a one-day class aimed at either providing a fun experience with a great result, or an excellent place to begin absorbing basic jewellery techniques for those wanting to pick up the activity. The expected outcome for students is one bracelet in copper or brass and one bracelet in sterling silver. Additional bracelets can be made should time and the group's needs allow. Course fee includes materials for the basic project. Extra materials are available to purchase in the workshop or you can upgrade your silver to a heavier gauge bar and pay the extra.
